which computer would be better for gaming? AMD, no contest, the extra ram wont make to much of a difference, you only really need a gig plus you get a monitor and stuff. Definantly go for the AMD

but wat about the fact that the p4 has DDR533 or PC4300, wouldnt that make much of a differance?

not enough, the AMD is still much better, and there is a good moniter plus its a much better deal.

alright, thanks... so i take it into account i will be able to use the AMD for a long time yet?, coz im on a very small budget so it will be a big investment, and im not one of those people hu go out buyin comps every 6 months if ya get me.

yes AMD is much better for gaming, especially the 64 bit series, the intel HT technology chip is better for multitasking on your desktop (like surfing 2 webpages and talking to 5 people on AIM).

no, the P4 isnt extreme edition. The P4 is from Alienware and the AMD one is from Mesh Computers. The Alienware P4 one has been customised, while the AMD one hasnt, see it *Here*
