Tony883Aren't they the ONLY IM clients for windows?
Yes Pop, they are. This thread is nothing but "Lets list every single IM client for windows", rather than the best ones.

Fuzzy WuzzyI used to use AIM but I've had a troubled history with it
 a lot of people do. i even get that "An unknown error has occured." error on my sidekick2... (good song, the one in your sig)
I like msn and yahoo the best. :)
IMHO, Googletalk is the best, though it could use file transfer features

From my experiences in the last three years, MSNM seems to be one of the most frequently used, though I like AIM a bit more. In group chats it runs a lot better than MSNM. So annoying when MSNM actually crashed your computer because it is so slow...
I only use MSN because all the others are confusing MSN just gives it to you there straight out of the "Box".

Google made a good start with Google Talk, but it needs to have a few more features before it begins to rival MSN or AIM.
Even so, I kind of like it the way it is. Very spartan, in classic Google style.
i enjoy AIM the best. i used to use MSN but then all my friends stopped using it. So I switched over to AIM.

I guess Trillian is quite good, but the last version I tried (one of the betas) had too many bugs. So I still use ICQ.
I use trillian because I have friends who use AIM, MSN, Yahoo and ICQ. This way I only need to have one program running to talk to everybody (I often have 7 or more IM sessions open at once). I also use the EverQuest Instant Messanger plugin so I can talk to friends in EverQuest without having to use the bug filled version released by Sony.
