I'm trying to find a descent PSU that wont break the bank (about 30-40 dollars for me :uhm:). So, I found this Themaltake PSU on Newegg.com that seems to get pretty good reviews. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a bunch.

Well if its for your system in your sig its perfect! Wont power any graphics cards above an 8500 GT though.

Don't go with Thermaltake unless you get ToughPower series witch are expensive. Get Antec EarthWatts 380W or 430W

Any ThermalTake PSU is an insta-fail.

In most cases, literally.

Well now people are saying its bad. (darn:() I looked at some Antecs and found this. Its a bit expive for me, but with its rebate it may do well (if Antec is known as a reliable rebate giver-backer).

I do prefer Antec over thermaltake, but thermaltake still does a good job! If you want to mess with a rebate, go for the antec.

No they're not. It depends on what model you get. The one he chose is supposed to be fine. Some of their others are definitely crap hardly worthy of an office PC. ThermalTake is not a great brand, but there are far worse ones out there that are as you put it, almost a sure insta-fail.

That said, I'd personally go with something else anyways, and it doesn't mean spending much more. Antec, FSP/Fortron/Sparkle, Silverstone, Seasonic, OCZ, Enermax (and many others) would all be better choices for known reliability; pretty much across all their models.
