I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that helped me decide on my new build. Today was 'D-Day' of when I finally finished the beautiful thing off. Today my final purchase was a new chassis, I got the Thermaltake Spedo Advance Package for $291 ($364 RRP AUD) I couldn't be more happier with my system, other then some more storage. I couldn't have built the system without you guys helping me decide on the components I was unsure of, such as the motherboard, GPU, PSU and CPU. My new build started way back when, >Omen< may remember helping me with my PSU choice, The Antec NeoPower 550. Well since then, I've been slowly building the system, I always had plans to use that PSU and GPU in a future system, So I purchased the PSU and GPU, then 6 months later when I had a decent job with a decent income, I was able to make that future PC. Next year I will be upgrading the PSU again and the GPU to keep the system hooning along with the other bad boys out there, I'm just not impressed with either ATIs or nVidia's efforts with GPUs this year. I have compiled the following list so those that helped me, know what they helped me build... Chassis: Thermaltake Spedo Advance Pack with ATC and CRM Link Here CPU: Intel E8400 6MB L2 - Overclocked @ 4.0GHz Link Here GPU: XpertVision 8800GT 512MB - With Overclock Profiles; auto detected for games Link Here PSU: Antec NeoPower 550W @ 54Amps Link Here RAM: (Generic) Kingston DDR2 800MHz - Overclocked to 939MHz No Link ODDs: Asus DVD-/+ R/RW DL 16* Sata No Link LG SuperMultiBlu BluRay Reader/HD Reader /DVD-/+ R/RW DL Link Here HDDs: Two 250GB Seagate Barracuda ES - Raid 0 Link Here Three 320GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 - Raid 5 Link Here MOBO: Gigabyte X48-DQ6 - FSB Overclocked 1600MHz Link Here Cooling: Thermaltake Big Typhoon - with Antec Silver 5 Link Here LCD: Asus VW222U 2MS 22" via HDMI Link Here Other components include a Leadtek DVT2000H, Logitech G9, Logitech G15, Logitech x-530, Logitech Gamer Pro Extreme, Logitech Headsets, LED Tubing for Chassis, WiFi Adapter. I'm loving my system. Just wanted to say thanks heaps for all the help you've all given me :) Have a beer on me!

Last I read you were talking about building an Arcade Machine, I thought you were not only done long ago with the gaming build but had a more powerful GPU as well. Guess I'm not up on things around here.

I'll probably be building my next rig about Mar '09. Believe it or not my main concern right now is which sound card to go with. That is one of the hardest things to pick out if you want your PC to be truly multipurpose.

You're very welcome for what little help I could provide. Sadly since I've been tolerating this same old rig for the last 4 yrs with only the X1950Pro being the major upgrade, I can only give hearsay comments on a lot of gear. With the wealth of info on the net though, one can do a fair amount of research on it to help narrow down the choices.

Average. I didn't go an uber LCD. I want a 24", 22" is just slightly to small for what I want it for (HTPC) Its worth its money though. I'm still doing that Arcade Machine Omen ;) My gaming rig was technically done a while ago, but I finally called it a day by stoping to upgrade shit in it lol. Atleast, for another year. The old chassis was really crap and I rushed into buying it at the time.
