wraithcat;4759743why would you ever disable the windows key? I use it for a hoard of stuff win+r win+d win+tab

while you are gaming its a pain if you hit it. usually it can crash or minimize the game if it's fullscreen

^This. The disabling mechanism is a simple on/off kind of switch. Turn it off while gaming so if you accidentally bump the key, it won't minimize your game, and when you're done, just flip the switch back and use the key however you like.

I've had a (gen1) g15 for 2 years and it's great. The only thing I don't like is it's the size of a Buick. Make sure you have the desk space. ;)

My favorite feature: Everest + g15 LCD screen = complete customizable real time system monitoring. Absolutely love that. I wish the LCD screen on my bluetooth mx5000 could do that.

That's why they made the gen 2 version, because the gen 1 was too big for most keyboard trays. The gen 2 is narrower, and the screen is flat and built in, rather than folding out, to give it a lower profile as well. The gen2 fits comfortably on my desk, and this is in a crowded college dorm with papers and what not pouring off of every surface.

Zamamee is right in every part. I also have a Gen2 G15 and love every part of it, its easy to press the keys, if you hit the corner of the key they still press with no issues, Alot of IMB and MS keyboards are difficult to press if you accidently press the corner of keys. Its G1*3 keys (18 Custom Keys) are very handy, as is disabling the start key, You can turn backlight off on it or adjust the brightness, its very duable, I've spilt a glass of water on mine, and it went straight out the water channels into my lap *Wasn't happy I got wet at the time*, it still works fine, its been dropped several times aswell!

I'd recommend this keyboard 100%. I do however like the Razer, but I still wouldn't convert to Razer anything, just because of the quality that logitech puts out on its products, mice, keyboards and speakers are all among the best in the world. Price wise, you do however pay for it, they can be quite expensive.

The G9 mouse with the G15 keyboard is the best combo, you can adjust your mouse LEDs to suite your keyboard YAY!
