Does anyone here use a trackball mouse for gaming?

I just got a G500 but I got into a conversation tonight about mice at my security class and I was wondering if they were any better?

I've got a friend who thinks trackballs are good for gaming... Then again, he's got about a 6x6" (or less) space on his desk, and his only other alternative is a uhh... ball mouse? I'd never advise getting one though, and I myself would definitely not get one.

I HATE trackball mice. With a passion, I can't use them for anything, it's like I'm a sped when I use them.

I can hardly stand them. They're certainly not as good for gaming as mice, even ball mice.

Trackballs aren't really good for anything, IMO.

Only thing they are good for is in a museum, to be honest. Certainly not for gaming or anything you might need good response times from.
