these are normally available only in Vista, but i found "Glass2k" on the web. its freeware, and basically allows you to make your taskbar etc translucent. you can adjust the transparency from opaque to about 10%, and it looks great, especially on my pc

it looks best with Luna Element 5, a 3rd party XP theme. its what i've got at the moment.

It may be interesting to an ATI Radeon user. However, it is pointless if you run an NVidia Geforce. The Geforce 2 even supports transparent Menus (I don't know what other cards do, but the Gf4MX440/NV18 does not).

Interesting little tool, I don't find it very practical, except if I'm watching a movie and want to browse the net. I'm gonna show it to my friend then probably never use it again, lol. Nice little find though
