O.K. I'm trying to network my 2 comps together. One is a PIII 800 w/ 192 RAM and the other is a Athalon 850 w/ 192 RAM. All the hardware is working correctly. The problem is the PIII is runnin Win XP pro and the Athalon is runnin Win ME. I cant get them to recognize each other. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd try checking the firewalls, also if you are trying to share a folder or files, make sure folder and file sharing is enabled AND that a folder is shared.

How is the network configured (via a server, router, or switch?)

Im trying to set up the comp w/ XP as the host. Im using a crossover cable to link them together btw. I will look into the firewall but any further information or help will be a big help. Thanks

You might try disabling the firewall. But it may be a good idea to disconnect yourself from the internet first.
