Hi guys and gals, I need some help.

I want to assemble a connection to my tv from my computer.

This is what I have.

S-video to Scart. Vga splitter. 2 screens. 2 outputs on the computer. 2 outputs on the tv (one component one scart).

S-video to scart works but I get a black/white image due to plugging in at the back of the TV instead of the front.

I am not 100% this is the reason why the image is black/white but I think its that since I should have 2 scart channels but currently the only one I have creates a black/white image.

The only reason I assume would work was if I converted the scart to component and used the output on the front of the tv.

I also want to use my VGA splitter here. A splitter where I can switch the image. Basically I want to have one screen permanent and the other screen/tv to switch. Although the cord is S-video I've yet to find a converter that converts S-video to VGA.

Are there such adapters and would the image still fuck up if I used that many adapters, or should I just try and find a new cord.

(I also read that it wont work to have scart-vga for computer->tv. Apparently it only works for projectors and a dvd player. Any knowledge on this?)

Doesn't your TV have VGA on the back? Or DVI? Most TVs nowadays do. Or else you should be able to find a VGA - Component convertor... Hell my video card came with one.

The thing is that I have a CRT TV so it hasnt got anything besides scart, component and antenna-sockets. I checked all my cords but didnt get anything and my graphics card is moderately old aswell. ATI Radeon X1950 Pro
