I was wondering how to Remove Internet Explorer from Windows Vista. I have looked everywhere and I can't find anything. Is IE so embedded in Windows Vista that I can't remove it?
Why does it matter? Just download and use Firefox instead of going through the trouble of deleting Internet Explorer. Everyone I know who uses Firefox does that.
You haven't been able to uninstall Internet Explorer for quite a while.
Just install firefox and ignore IE. Internet Explorer is also required for Microsoft Update to work.
I was just wondering if there was any way at all to remove IE7...oh well, thanks guys.

no there is no way to remove ie7 off vista, and no way to remove ie6 off xp. This is because ie is actually linked to explorer.exe (the windows service that controls all of your folders, icons and start menu) so without internet explorer the navigation through your computer wouldnt function properly, if you really just dont like lookin at it, delete the shortcuts, but other than that its not taking up that much space... well in regards that windows doesnt need, so just ignore it

One may just install another shell as well...
