Ok I have been trying to figure out what is going on with my computer and BF 2. Ea finally gave me a decent responce. They said for me to update my motherboard's bios. How do I go about doing this? I have an intel i865G chipset mobo( intel D865GBF) How do you go about doing this without messing up your computer?

It involves a little bit of prayer, I'll tell you straight away smilie.gif First step: download the updated BIOS. Second step: follow the instructions. I'm not familiar with how Intel manages it, but most manufacturers seem to have two options available for flashing, allowing you to do it the old fashioned (ie, real ;) ) way, or the newfangled Windows-based way. The Windows-based alternative is, admittedly, less spooky for many. Based on the "How do I..." sections on that page, it sounds like the Express version is the Windows-based installer. It's not that tough, just make sure you heed the warnings and DO NOT REBOOT DURING THE PROCESS. Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward so long as you download the proper BIOS update (so double check that link, just to be sure).

Flashing motherboards scares me...

Ever since I flashed the wrong version of update and killed the whole thing

Some of the newer motherboards have two BIOS chips, allowing you to use the other if you ruine the first. It's only really helpful if you actually need to flash your BIOS, which you shouldn't have to do in custom built PCs. Don't pay extra for it, anyway.
