How do I update Firefox, or does it do that by itself?

Also, you know when you type in IE 7, words, when italicized are all smooth and not "pixelated" is there something like this for Firefox. IE 7 is starting to run slow now.

Any help/ideas? I can post screenies if needed.

Alternatively go to the Mozilla site and download the latest version and install it as you would normally.

The text effect your talking about is called ClearType.

You can get that seperate as a Microsoft PowerToy.

Here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Just download the ClearType Tuner.
