I'm going to buy a laptop for Uni next year, and I have two questions:
1) What sort of specs should I expect for a NZ$2,000 laptop? As far as performance is concerned, gaming is the top priority, as everything else I'll be doing with it will not be all that resource-demanding, no video editing etc. I don't mind if it's bought online, as long as it can ship to New Zealand.
2) If I were to upgrade my laptop in the future, which of the components in it would it be cost effective to upgrade?
1) Unless you can give me a specific site, can't be of much help.
2) Harddrive, optical drive. That's about all you yourself can upgrade. Laptops by their nature, aren't very upgradable. There are people that will do it for you, but more often than not they charge so much that for the performance increase you get, you might as well buy a new laptop.
