So here's the deal, am thinking of buying a new heatsink to oc my cpu, unleash some power of my Q6600, but am using the retail intel cpu fan right now. Ive been told to get the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro, but any sugestion would be aprreciated. ALso can anyone suggest a good strees test program, i want to test my pc before and after I oc and install the new heatsink. thanks.

Do NOT get the AFP7. That thing is decent but will not cool quads well at all. Get the Newegg.com - XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks and a bolt-though kit and you can push that quad to its limits on air.

No. I have that heatsink and the same case. It fits but you cant use the fan on the side panel.

74*C is no big deal. When it gets to 100*C is when its time to worry.

Also, you dont need that fan for the ram. You'll have enough air blowing though the ram fins with the cpu heatsink so theres no need to have an extra fan (not to mention that the 900 has more than enough airflow).

+1 for the S1283.

I have one (in sig) and it keeps my CPU nice and cool at 4.3Ghz.
