I'm looking to get a VGA splitter (comes out of my monitor and can attach two VGA cables, one going to my PC the other going to the VGA adapter on my Xbox 360) that has a switch so I can just flip it and change which one is getting input to my monitor... does anyone know of such a product? I have seen several splitters but they don't have a switch!

That should work... But kinda cheapish...
Thanks! One of these will work fine! I wanna do it this way to eliminate "ghosting" (whatever that is) :D

You got me confused for a while with that... since monitors are output devices we usually say it comes out of the PC and in the monitor. Anyway, be careful with KVMs : some might accept to switch the video input only if they detect a powered on keyboard on the associated port. Also, many don't support very high resolutions (I've seen quite a few that don't go above 1920x1200), so in case you have higher resolution monitor (let's say 2560x1600), you may be kinda disappointed. Also, I had quite a few bad experiences with some KVMs at work, where after a while the keyboard randomly stopped working, all lights flashing : in those cases I had to unplug it from the KVM and plug it back. So be sure you don't buy a too cheap one if you don't want to be bothered with this sort of stuff — when that happens 10 times in 8 hours, it can get quite irritating.
why would it affect the keyboard?? All I'm plugging into it is two VGA cords.... one from my monitor and one from my 360..... and yeah I want it to run at 1920 by 1080..... guess ima need to do some research? Xbox doesn't go higher than 1920 by 1080 anyway tho.
Note: If you have +1080p, you probably wont be using VGA.
Well my monitor has VGA and HDMI.... I don't use the HDMI cause its screwed up on this model (not just for me but for everyone)... Blacks look gray and everything else looks washed out. I plug into my monitor using a DVI adapter thing that comes with like... every video card. It's an HP w2338h.

Like I was saying, some models won't even recognize you have a video input if it doesn't get the signal from a keyboard port associated to that video port, and thus will not even allow you to switch. I think those used at work were some low model of "BlackBox ServSwitch"... Just be careful on what you buy.
Ok, thank you! I'll research each product till I find one that it works for what I wanna do... thanks for the caution! :)
