How well would this card run CoD4 with graphics maxed out? I got a good power supply, 2GB of RAM, And everything else. I have a pretty decent computer if you overlook the nVidia GeForce 6100NT...
AND WOULD IT IF I GOT 2 OF THEM?? IT HAS "SLI" ON IT! How well could I run BF2, BF2142, And UT3 with the graphics maxed out?
Getting 2 8600GTs will be better then getting a single 8600GTS or even 2 8600GTS
Getting one of THESE will be better then getting any of the FAIL cards above.
But to put it simply. A single 8800GT will beat an SLI setup of the 8600GT or 8600GTS The 8800GT is A LOT more 'bang for ya buck' heaps faster, and heaps cheap. Its the 4th best card available, behind the 8800Ultra, 8800GTX, 8800GTS G92. Although in my experience, the 8800GT G92 is A LOT faster then the GTS G92
If you buy an 8600 I would say your wasting money, they aren't worth it for the power they provide
I agree, don't go two 8600s, go one 8800GT. I have an X1950Pro AGP and the game looks great on it at 1024x768. I dropped the AA from the 4x autodetect down to 2x and no jaggies. For the most part I get 40 FPS average, very smooth. I pretty much left all the settings at auto as the game handles model and world textures that way very well. This game looks more photorealistic to me than Crysis. Well done IW but it's so short I'd like to see a sequel or an expansion or two.
But how would the THIS run CoD4, BF2, BF2142, And UT3 if I got 2 and used SLI with them with maxed out graphics and? And is it SLI enabled. It says it is. Just wanna make sure.
It will run it on low to medium settings @ 1024 resolution. Even in sli. It is not a very good card. DO NOT BUY 2 or even 1 of the 8600 series, gts, gt or ANYTHING. If you want performance get a single 8800GT. either listen or stop posting.

Hmm... I looked at some reviews saying they were pretty good and ran CoD4 and BF2142 pretty well on maxed out detail. So I'm gonna do more research on it. If worse comes to worse, I'll just buy the 8800... But I don't want to spend that money.
I promise you , you will regret getting a 8600 series. It just cannot compare with a 8800. It would be a foolish waste of money . Why come here & ask for advice, get solid advice & IGNORE such advice. The card d. pilla posted is amzing & such a steal for the price. If you buy an 8600 card. In less than one year you will need to purchase a new card to play ANY new game. Even in SLI. the 8600 is a fools waste of money. The 8600 is a low end card. There will not be any current game you can play even remotely on max settings.(unless, you play at 640 resolution)

Why buy two crap cards just to buy into SLI hype? Are you aware that in many cases you'll get only about 30% more performance in SLI? Instead for only $40 more you could get this, which is one of the best deals I've seen lately in GPUs: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127324
That's what I found. Clearly not the best quality (I mean the quality in the video... Not the card) but hooking up a couple good 8600GT's seems alright. Cause the 8800's are out of my budget by like $150... My specs are about those or a little better.
