Size?

Vista Home Premium 32-bit is NT version 6.0.

It takes up about 7-10 gigabytes on the hard drive, after indexing, and updates, etc...

It requires 2gb of RAM.

It includes additional games, and software. Including the Windows Media Center application.

Vista Home Premium also includes a nicer theme than the Basic version.

XP Pro 32-bit Vista Business

XP Media Center Edition Vista Home Premium.

If you have a computer that can handle it(dual core processor, 2 gigs ram, dx10 compatible graphics card), you will love it. It is a nice upgrade over XP. Is it better? Well, that depends on your needs. I went from XP pro, to Vista Ultimate(the most expensive version), & I don't regret spending the money. Not one bit. The best $160 dollars I have spent in a long time.

Recently I bought a new notebook. Nothing special; the cheapest one I could get. 64 bit dual core CPU, 2 GB Ram and all that stuff.

Vista Home Premium is not that special. At least I would have expected better. And of course it makes the PC much slower than it would be with XP. But it definitely looks good.
