I'm getting a "Microsoft Visual Runtime C++ Error" on my computer when I try to run the Soldier of Fortune 2 Multiplayer game. I have a nVIDIA GeForceFX 5200 128mb video card. I am currently running Windows XP SP1. I've uninstalled old and installed newest nvidia drivers I can find on the net. I still have the same problem when I try and load the game up. I'm not sure if this is a problem with my computer specs or if it's the card. If you can help or have any immediate questiosn my MSN is A11enism@hotmail.com Thanks :smokin:
well just so you can be 100% sure about getting the latest nVidia Drivers, get them here http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_71.89.html they are the official nvidia drivers, the latest, 71.89
it not the video card drivers, try getting .net framework installed some of the .dll's are corrupt or missing
Is there a certain version I should get or just the newest one and where?
Woo! I got it! I uninstalled .net framework I had. Reinstalled it and then patched it, and then updated the drivers (again). Works now :cya:
Ty GreatGrizzly for your help. I don't think I would of ever guessed it was the .net framework. :bows: :cya: :D
I would have never thought it was the .net framework either... Seems completely counter-intuitive to me.
^^^ Don't know what that word is but yeah I think I got the jist of it :uhoh:
That is the best feeling in the world, knowing i helped someone :)
I didn't make it!
wow, SOF2... I remember that game. It was awesome back in the day before ghey hackors took over and ruined it. They were gonna make a 3rd but haven't heard about it.
You know PB has come back and taken out very manc haX0rs (as many geeks like to call 'em). There will always be bad people in everything, but that doesn't mean the good people wont do anything. They just might be a little lazy at first
