well I got a used BFG 6800gt last night for $300 shipped off of e-bay:D. Well it should be here in a few days, and I need to get some questions answeared. How do I remove the old card and install the new one? What do I do to completly clean out all of my ATI drivers so they do not confict with the 6800gt? can a 6800gt kill my Power supply(330 watt)? I can't get another PSU either since my mom is odd and says I can't do anything else to the computer:lookaround:.

theres a program called driver cleaner which easily removes older drivers, try googleing it. And taking the old one out isnt that hard its just a matter of not forcing anything too hard. Youll be able to see what comes outta were and you should be ok. And about the PSU, i would personally reccommend geting another PSU because 330w is not much good for a 6800gt, especially if it has a weak 12v rail

well, I will get a new one once I can convice my mom of it or my current one blow up. I wonder if saying that a new higher wattage PSU uses less eletricy since it has higher efficancy. I did find an OCZ 450 watt once for $75:D

well, if it has a [115 - 240] volt switch at the back, you could blow it up, although that might be only for us brits :D

yeah, a good psu is important... just stay away from those ultra x-connects
