Ok, this is annoying. When I go to highlight things with my cursor eg sentences in my post to edit or posts from other people etc, I have to keep doing it multiple times for it to actually highlight. It won't do it straight away like it's supposed to.

I just had to try 5 times to highlight my paragraph there. It's very annoying. This just started happening today after I reinstalled my sound drivers a few times.

And I'm pretty sure it's not a virus or spyware. It's not my mouse either.

This is a weird problem, does anyone know how to fix this?

I've had a similiar problem with various browsers (usually Firefox, since that is the one I use the most), when I'm opening other programs, or am out of RAM.

What type of processor, and RAM do you have?

Try using firefox instead of IE. It solves a lot of problems, and quite possibly the one your mentioning.

You could also revert back to an older driver.

I've uninstalled the driver anyway because I'm getting a new sound card today because my onboard sound is fucked. I'll give firefox ago.

Edit: Good. Firefox seems to not have the problem. Looks like I'll be using it instead. What are some useful plugins that I might need for it?

This thread has a number of good firefox extensions, with some explinations to as what they do.
