rahman I want this thread to be a PC Configuration discussion thread.

No offense but post it when you are ready to buy your parts, as others said no hardware will last you that long and prices and products change fast.

Go to Alienware site and build the most expemsive PC you can find, write it down. Look again in 2 years ;)

Nevertheless it's a nice rig... i doubt if you'll be able to find any HW stuffed into an AlienWare 2 years from now...

That will last you three or four years of decent gaming, followed by a year or two (if you're lucky) of acceptable gaming, and then... you'll need a new one. And if you intend to buy that PC in five years time, well, you'll be pretty annoyed. If they even sell those parts anymore in five years time.

Save your money. In five years time, buy something that's good then, rather than now. And no, nobody here can tell you what spec to get in five years time. We could all be using quantum computers on the moon for all we know.

So you said.

Actually, the PC you have will last as long for games, as that will. As long as you keep playing the same games, and not the latest. :D

As for configuration, I recommend a better PSU. Something that doesn't come with the case. C38368 finally got it through my thick skull, that a case PSU isn't enough.

Also, an AMD 64, or even an AMD XP would be better. Don't buy Intel. ;)
