what sound card do you have? Check the audio properties to see if the mic is un-muted.

What game in specific does this happen in? What model number? What are your settings? What sound card?

Well check to see if other people can hear you, and if they can then yes, your problem seems to be solved :)

yes, thats what i'm talking about. If you mute the mic [at least this works with my Audigy] you won't be able to hear anything but the computer will still pick it up.
