Did you spend the majority of the budget on the DDR3? :O

My desktop machine scores 12,013 on 3DMark06. My laptop, on the other hand, will barely get 1,500 - on a good day.

My desktop is a Core 2 Duo E6750 with 2gb of RAM and two GeForce 8800s in SLi, whilst my laptop is a 1.8GHz Turion64 with 1gb of RAM and a GeForce 7300.

Chris;4116539I'm curious as to how my new machine compares to others. Here's the specs and the score. My specs are... ... and my score was 2527.

Is your computer supposed to be a gaming computer? :P Seems pretty low for a recent machine.

3DMark05: 3.617

I can't run 3DMark06, because it requires a card with at least 256MB. And it's only that low, because my graphics card is still that three-year-old mid-range card, that I'm going to replace with a 8800GT soon. :nodding: :lookaround:

My specifications: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2,67Ghz Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 2 GB A-Data Vitesta PC2-6400 CL5 Sapphire RADEON X700 PRO (128MB) Windows Media Center Edition
