I have a Dell 4550 with the following -Pentium 4 2.4ghz -1 GB DDR ram -60 GB Harddrive in 2 partitions -Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 64MB DDR with s-video out -17" Monitor @ 1280x1024 (32 bit) -Standard Logitech Optical mouse w/ great poly-something mousepad(mouse has done me good for 12 months+ and it was only 25 bucks) -Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard -16xDVD drive -48xWrite CD/RW drive -standard 3 1/2 inch Floppy drive -6 USB ports (2 front 4 back) This game works well with Call of Duty, Rainbow six 3, UT2004, and other shooters @ 1280x1024 (32 bit) With everything set either high or close to it. I am just wondering what upgrades can i get cheap to this system. I would like any suggestions on cost efficent Graphics cards, Accrylic Cases (never changed case, would like a good one, but remember theres 2 usb and one audio jack in front), or any thing that would improve my gaming. i have DSL with a Netgear Router -LBJ (low buget gamer)

Seeing you have a Dell... I'd open up your case and make sure that your stuff isnt locked to the motherboard... Knowing dell and the other computer companies that make prebuilt computers, they lock the hardware. If that is the case in your case... you will be unable to do any upgrading besides building a whole new one from scratch. I would suggest getting into building your own computer so you can upgrade it as you need to.

Er, you really don't need to update anything except for your video card, 128MB should be plenty, but make sure it isn't an MX. Other than that your computer is really good.

Videocard. Changing the case could be tricky. I'm not sure about this model but a friend of mine had a 8000 series dimension, and we found that Dell uses non standard connectors for power button, front USB etc. So you're probably going to run into problems putting this motherboard in an ATX case.
