Christmas is coming um and my gaming really lacks in the video card department I was thinking between a 8500GT 512mb $159 or a 8600GT 512mb $183 But before i buy one i would like to know if its worth spending $20 more for one of these graphics cards dose it make that difference so anyone can give me feed back and im on a tight budget.

8600GT Overclocked 512MB GDDR3 :)

It'll hammer an 8500GT:)

Or even consider a Radeon 3850, it performs very well and will only get better with new drivers. it's also well within your price range.

Of those two cards, the 8600GT is much better.

But for that kind of money ($150-180), you could do better. Where are you buying from? The 8600GT is going for $100-$110 at newegg.com which you can use if you live in the US.

For 180$ you get HD 3850 that will crush 8600GT

Radeon HD 3850 looks like a great card, not that expensive either.
