I also use AVG free, cause I'm a cheapo. It seems to work good. I use Spybot and Adaware also. I understand Panda is a good purchased antivirus software.

Adware [latest], SpyBot Search&Destroy. All you need. Norton couldn't stop a newbie hacker. Also, block the ports you're not using and get a firewall. EDIT: Mac?! Phiffft.

When I first used Norton internet security it really slowed down my computer and things so I used Trend Micro PC-cillin internet security and it works great.

I use AVG 7.0 Free, It tells me if there's a virus, and it can direct me to the file! I take it from there, lol!! >A good firewall is ZoneAlarm, I use Pro >And THE BEST free Spyware remover is: Mircosoft Anti-spy Beta! :P It works as a firewall, a spyware remover, and has Great protection features! only for XP

GreatGrizzlyi use a program called AntiVir The best free program i have ever used!

Yes! Don't use avg or norton use antivir! Its the best! Download it at www.free-av.com (i think). I have used norton and avg and it beats both. And for spyware use spybot - search and destroy and adawareSE. job done, no more questions!

NAV 2003. Have used Avast, McAfee. Out of all I prefer NAV, even though it's gone downhill in the past few upgrades.

I use NOD32. If you want an Antivirus that's compact, fast, easy to use, and has a really, really brilliant detection rate, you've found it.

Also, a word for warning, thinking you can't get spyware or your the ultimate safe just because your using a Linux or Mac box is being nieve, and your asking for trouble if you don't take care just like Windows users do.

I use AVG Free Edition, ZoneAlarm, and Microsoft Antispyware. All top notch IMO.
