It really depends on where you live. Some carriers are better in different cities/regions.

it all depends on the location like marwin said. t-mobiles the best to where i live, houston texas.

Moot point, but since it came up: go with Cingular or T-Mo, for anyone wondering. They're GSM carriers, which means two things: 1) GSM is used pretty much everywhere outside of the US; thus, better world-wide coverage, and 2) Because the rest of the world uses GSM (versus CDMA), you can get wicked cool unlocked phones out of SE Asia.
