ITs still PC related, and gaming ;)
Anyways I was looking into the Dell 1330. Or the 1530. XPS. They cost very well IMO at 1000$ish, what do yall think? Im not planning on playing Crysis maxed out or anything, but to be able to play it, and a couple of other games like sins of a solar empire, the witcher, Oblivion, and ht elike. what do you guys think? any personal recommendation?
I was also looking into the Toshiba Qosmio but I dont know much about it :\
edit: There are some good AlienWares for around 1400 and will comes with 8600 and even 8700 GT graphics.. Im lost Ive never shopped for a Gaming laptop before.
Gaming + laptop = no.
Sadly most laptops aren't going to be able to handle much gaming. If you want a gaming laptop look for something with a mobile 8800GTS or 9800GTX+
Everyone games with laptops :| Ive seen it with my own eyes, my only question is whats a good buy.
The Existance of Dell XPS Gaming laptops, and Alienware laptops speak highly for gaming with laptops. That includes everyone on post who sits around on the weekend playing thier WOW games and what not.
Yeah but the thing is gaming at a decent level with laptops. I have first hand experience with $3000 laptops and compared to their desktop counterparts they are seriously lacking.
Just buy a new computer in my opinion.
Im in the Army...... And decent gaming is always different depending on the person. I already HAVE a freakin desktop. its HOME, thats why I need a LAPTOP. But I didnt think I was gonna get help nevermind ill just go ahead and go off of online reviews.
This is one of the only laptops I would seriously game on. Comes right around your target price too.
holy shit where did you find that..(amazon...) that seems to be a REALLY nice one. Even though GateWays usually scare me this might be different, I might actually be buying this! This is the same exact card I have in my current PC.(more memory in the Laptop build)
To be honest, I'd personally not go beyond 15.4-16 screen sizes. The seventeens are just freaking huge for a laptop and makes them way too hard to carry. Chances are, that you wouldn't end up using the laptop just for gaming and a seventeen looses a lot of those posibilities.
I'd personally look into toshiba, msi and lenovo. At least from the more euro available brands. Never seen a gateway laptop before so can't comment on how good the thing is made internally.
Im also looking at prices. Anything else might cost a lot more and not even offer this type of gaming. I Actually do perfer 15.4" but if I end up with a 17" well..Its gonna have to do ya know. Im pretty much gonna use it for gaming and web surfing. Im in the Army lol, as far as I am right now Im not gonna use it for anything else. Right no wim in medical training, and after this Airborne, and RIP, so I dont know what else Id use it for..
And the Battery for this laptop is supposed to be pretty good.
