i can recommend you some free ones. AVG is the best, free one i know. you can also try Avast!, which has a free edition and is also quite good though i think AVG is better. so try AVG first. if you dont mind paying, i think trend micro is quite good, too.

Whatever you do, don't go Norton. They have a lot of dirty secrets...

I use mcafee for viruses and aol spyware for anti spyware protection. They both suck, in my opinion.

I have Norton, and also have AVG set to run after Norton on the weekly scans.

Norton is a bit of a pain and a bloat, but it does it's job...... ....mostly. Still think some of the ways it does a few things is odd though...

So I'm okay with it.

NOD32. Greatest Anti-Virus ever made. It's light weight, but incredibly effective.

Keep in mind that you should also have a good firewall to go along with the AV.

In order of decency IMHO: Free antivirus ? AVG then avast.

Want a great antivirus ? Nod32 as marvin suggested.

Norton hasn't been a decent av since it's 2k3 rendition. Too many processes, too slow too much bs. Never really liked Mcaffee either ....

i sue avg and zonealarm both of them have treated me right so far. so far no viruses or anyting like that. but never go norton. that causes more problems then it helps.
