I also got the latest Catalyst 4.7 drivers from the ATI site and installed as per instructions, and the same problems still exist.
Usually how I test whether its fixed or not is to go into BF1942, define a new key button for one of the control options, and see whether I crash to the desktop, because that happens all the time no matter how.
Try using earlier versions of the Catalyst drivers. I know I have problems with the 4.6 and 4.7's.
Do you think reinstalling my OS will get rid of the problem?
There's only way to find out.:) I think that's really the only option left for you, at least it will rule out a messed up Windows problem, if the problem still there you'll know it's hardware related.
I would only reinstall the operating system if it's a last resort.
