the x800xt has double the speed of the 9800xt. Well, what is your price range and how long do you want to keep the card you get?

You could check out a X800XL, not quite a XT but they cost a good bit less and are alot faster than a 9800.

yeah, youd be pretty happy with the X800XL.... but you can find some INSANE deals on the AGP version of the X800XT and X850xt... only $388 for a new X850xt agp (one FAST GPU) http://www.allstarshop.com/shop/simprod.asp?pid=10962&ad=pwatch also if you look on ebay its possible to get it even cheaper. just something to think about

Your processor will be bottleneck for x800, so I don't recommend that good vid card 9800 Pro runs great American Army and Half-Life..

but honestly... a X800 series card will be faster in HL2 and other newer titles. I would also look at the Nvidia line's 6600gt

yeah, those are good cards, faster than a 9800XT and only $158 in AGPx8, or $151 after mail-in-rebate at newegg. smilie.gif
