My school now allows students to access the school's servers from home, being able to access every program, every file, basically anything. You are effectively using the school computers. I really don't think they truly understand what they are doing is not going to benefit anyone in the end. All it takes is logging into an administator's account and bring down the entire school network, all from the safety of the home. :vikki:

And my school still doesn't allow me to put Firefox on every computer when we have a bunch of 5th graders running around playing flash games.

Face it, teachers are morons when it comes to computers, they think they know everything about security and when someone else knows something they don't, they just ignore you.

Yeah, unless they're actually a computer class teacher, most teachers seem to know absolutely nothing about computers. Even the computer teachers don't know much, they're just more arrogant.

Last year, I took Advanced Structural Engineering at college. Since this is a computer-based class, everyone works on a computer. Well, one of the guys in there, who (I kid you not) couldn't connect two lines together even when everyone in the class is standing behind him helping him, downloaded Warez, GTA, an LCARS interface, and about 1GB of porn onto the computer he was using. They still can't get rid of some of that stuff.
