I am building my own PC (in around 4 months) and was wondering if this gaming rig will last another 2 years. MSI Radeon X800 XT AMD 64 3400+ ABIT KV8 Pro K8T800P 1024mb PC3200 RAM Xaser III Vm3000A 480W PSU Big Ass 11" fan blowing over my case :D Please tell me what I should change I will upgrade my R.A.M around 6 months after building it though. I will buy another 1 gb :D

Seeing as this is all mostly brand new stuff... It'll last a good year probably and you should be able to play all upcoming games decently but no current computer lasts 2 years if you still want to play full settings w/ newest games...

You'll be very happy w/ that setup though. Just make sure you buy good namebrand ram rather than Value or generic ram... Keep ur computer nice and cool too! That'll help it last longer physically...

Ok, thanks for the replys. I'll have to check about the ram. I dont mind games that will come out in around a year, that wont let me run them maxed out. FPS wins over eye-candy. But a balance is good too. Can't wait to run some games on that monster.:naughty:

make sure you also get some full installs of anti virus and adaware programs to make sure that that sweet comp doesnt get screwed over :D

I'll use AVG(the best AV around) and Ad-aware. I'll also use a firewall, I dont want hackers to take over my system. I'm not getting it now, I'll be building it around Xmas or January.
