Hello.

I know FF maybe isn't the right place to post this since it's not really computer related, but I turn to you people simply because I think it's the best place on teh intarnetz.

I'm in the market for a new subwoofer. My receiver is a Harman/Kardon AVR 132 with a "sub pre-out" output only, which as far as I can tell, means that the sub has to be "active". So I found this Product - Sony Rewards. Since I don't know anything about HiFi stuff, nor have a lot of money, I want to make absolutely sure that it'll work with my receiver.

So... Will it? :Puzzled:

Should be fine. It is an active subwoofer (to be honest the vast majority of hi-fi subwoofers are anyway).

Yes it will work. You need to set up your receiver so that it will divert the low end to the sub. There should be an option in the menus of your receiver. The user manual will help you if you run into trouble.

Great. Just wanted to make sure, so thank you both. Ordering NOW and hoping to have it by the weekend so I can watch some movies with this sucker. My old sub woofer's like 15 years old, weighs in at a stackering... 2lbs or less and isn't even able to make ripples in a glass of water placed on top of it.
