I've had it for about a month now, I'm very impressed. Works great with Open Office and it runs Runes of magic (WoW clone) pretty well. I get the occasional memory error on start up though. Paint rocks the boat and so does the Media Center. And it doesn't require the Hardware that Vista does so that's a nice bonus as well.
What do the people say? :)
Windows 7 is what Vista should have been. I haven't had a problem with it yet, its much faster and more responsive than Vista, and as long as your hardware has Vista drivers, its pretty much guaranteed to work with Win7. I never did any actual gaming benchmarks, but it does feel slightly faster than Vista did. That could be because i went from Vista 32-bit to Win7 64-bit though.
I don't think 4 lines of text is a review...
Anyways why haven't I seen Windows7 commericals on TV?
Or are you guys running a pirate verison...
It hasn't been released yet. Its still a RC.
As for me, I'm not impressed with windows 7. Since I have sufficient hardware I dont have problems running an OS. 7 feels the exact same as vista to me. Perhaps the latest vista service pack is as play here, but IMO theres not too much difference between the two. (64bit vs. 64bit)

The release candidate is, or was (not sure if its still up), a free download directly from Microsoft for people to try out. It expires march 2010 IIRC.
How big is it?
So is this better than XP you guys think?
I do, but it all depends on the technical support. Right now there is very little to none.

At this point in time, everything is better than XP when it comes to 3D stuff. But if you're sitting on a desktop or doing 2D stuff XP will be faster.
