Ok, for some reason I turn on my PC today and the theme was the old Win. 98 theme, I thought "How did it change itself?". So I went to put the theme pack to normal and all of a sudden everything goes black and now all I can see is the desktop backround and icons......Everything else (all windows, including this browser but it still shows websites) is just a giant black box with some icons floating around..... System Specs: AMD Athlon X23800+ @ 38C. (I wouldnt think thats the problem, never had one before) ATI Saphire X800 XT 256MB AGP video card (This so far is what im thinking where the problem is but ive had this thing for years and nothing has gone wrong till now) Sound Blaster Audigy2 sound card (for some reason gives me very static noise during some games, but this problem was going on before the black boxes) 2GB of Kingston Ram @ 400MHz (4x512MB) 550W PSU 1x 200GB HD 1x 80GB HD Please help :( .

Have you tried restarting your computer? Additionally, have you by any chance updated (installed new drivers) for your Graphics Card lately?

Well, if it works in safe mode....

I'd tend to think that some background process is likely the culprit.

Yeah, try opening up Task Manager and switch it to the Processes tab and close everything with your username except for stuff you need to keep running (Like Explorer...) and look for ones that are using lots of processor speed or memory.
