I sent my friend a .exe file for Ventrilo, an old version, and his Windows, I assume, is not letting him view it. Why is this, and how can I solve it? Thanks for your time.

Windows naturally and with reason blocks .exe files being sent to it because of the virus risk - viruses are usually .exe files. If you compress it using .zip or .rar extensions then you should be able to send it.
Otherwise, change the extension of the file to .txt or something then have your friend change it back to .exe once they've received it.
Or, just get the friend to download Ventrilo themselves.
I didn't make it!
Or you could just upload it on megaupload or rapidshare...

There is a simple way to fix this. 1. Download the file. Do NOT run it. 2. Navigate to the folder where it was saved, right-click on the file, then click properties. There is a button in there that lets you unblock the file.
