k here's what you do: 1. insert windows xp disc into drive. 2. restart your comp and press the delete button once you restart it. go into the bios menu at start up (keep pressing the "delete" button until the menu appears once you restart you comp) 3. there should be an advance option, go to it. 4. there should be an option saying what device to boot up first. usually its the harddrive, then the cd rom second. 5. change the 1st boot device to the cd rom, then the harddrive second. 6. exit the bios and save changes. 7. itll automatically reboot your comp then let the system read the cd then it should take you to the first windows setup menu. 8. at some point, it'll ask you if you want to reformat your partition first then make a copy. go with the reformat and choose fast reformat partition. 9. at the end, itll ask you to restart ur comp, do it. 10. at the boot up, go back to the bios menu and switch back the boot up devices (harddrive first, cd rom second) 11. save changes and i think you can go through the rest.
and vuala everything will be up and running in no time. :)
Perhaps someone should close this never-ending thread?
