Give it a try, visit http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/download/download.aspx Microsoft is distributing it for free. Keep in mind that it's still in Beta, so there's no guarentes that I won't do anything weird.
So far, I'm enjoying it really well. The user interface is sleek, and the design is very intuative. It plays all of my movies, and hasn't run into any issues with missing codecs. My only complaint is that it's a resource hog, and dosen't run terribly smothly on my midrange system. Here are my Specs: 2.8 GHz P4 1GB PC2700 RAM 160 GB 7200RPM HD GeForce FX5200
What does everyone else think?
I've been trying it for a while, and I am impressed, but I don't suggest you place it in the taskbar and open the little video box.
This caused it to crash for me.
Fine for me, way better interface than 10 although it doesn't seem to do a lot extra.
The thing I've always hatet is the visualisations, they were crap in WMP 9 and they were still crap in WMP 10; and (believe it or not) they're still crap with 11!
i downloaded my visualisations quite happy with it
wont get it when its out, it just sucks IMO. it lags the system up too much, becouse of the bullshijat functions that i don't need at all.i use Winamp for music and BSPlayer for movies. I only use WMP for ripping music from cd's. It's actually the only thing it does well, i think.
I might try it, but unless it has a crossfade option, its not gonna sway me from iTunes.
As fancy as this looks, I'm going to remain in the winamp camp. My AeroGlass skin for Winamp 5.12 > WMP 11. I really hated the way WMP would take up an unnecessarily large amount of system resources, especially on slower machines.
46 and 2, are just ahead of me

It looks good and I may give it a look, but my pc isn't even midrange, so it may have some issues.
its runs pretty good i wouldnt say it uses up more than any other WMP
