AkeateDrivers, sound drivers =P If it's not a problmem with WMP then it could be a problem with out of date drivers, it's a possiblity as of such.

Indeed. Many factors come into play here. And update your video card drivers aswell.

point of sound drivers - to optimize your surround sound point of video drivers - to optimize your video card

sorry to break it to some of you but.....

you dont even need the right drivers so long as you see a picture and hear sound outside of windows media player

if re-installing doesnt work the only thing I can tell you is to check what gspot says and work from there. but untill then that theres not much we can do to help you...

Optimize? I think they do a little more that that.

Depending on what video card you have, you might be stuck at a low resolution, or your monitor may not even work at all. And the same for your sound card. Without drivers, windows media player probably won't even run.

oops I made a typo thanks for pointing that out for me lemme fix it

point of *upgrading drivers* now thats a big difference then what I had up there to start with

as for sound drivers you can even have the worng drivers for the worng soundcards and still get it to work im betting somehow putting on divx f***ed things up cause:

"I already download divx codecs. but after 2 days my windows media player crashes. now it can't play both music and video clips! what should i do? I already re-install it but it is still not working......"

sorry but all I can say is the same thing which is gspot but since your machine is crashing alot (or sounds like it from what you said) you might even have to do a system restore point or reformate later on....

Oh. Yeah, thats a bit different. :p There isn't really a point in upgrading, unless your having problems, or you want speed improvements that could be included in newer versions.

And he didn't say if he had DivX or not in his original post.
