I didn't make it!
So I'm getting fed up with my 3-year-old Compaq Laptop and its lousy specs (by today's standards). I play World of Warcraft quite frequently and every time the discussion of computer specs comes up, I'm usually silent. While most people are running the game at a nice 60fps or something in that range, I'm lucky to get 20fps. While they're able to run the game flawlessly at maxed out settings, my settings are almost as low as I can get them.
So if you haven't already figured it out, I'm itching for a new laptop. I've narrowed it down to a pretty good MacBook and a Gateway P Series FX Edition Notebook. Both come out to around $1400-$1600, the Gateway being the one with the better specs. The only thing holding me back from jumping on the very inexpensive but capable Gateway is the operating system. I like Mac OS X alot more than XP or Vista, and Mac falls a little short in only one department that I care about which is gaming. Other than that, for everything else I'll use the computer for Mac is the better choice. So my question is, can games like Warcraft run just as well on a Mac as on a PC with similar specs? I don't want opinions or trash talking one OP or the other, I'd like some facts and maybe some actual statistics. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you guys can give me.
I fight for myself.

I believe the way macs interface with the hardware the game should be faster on a mac. There was a recent laptop test running vista with simular spec laptops and the mac came out fastest so I recommend going with a Mac, you can always setup a duel boot into Xp/Vista if you want to.
