Ok, since winzip was adjusted so you cannot continuesly uninstall it and reinstall it i'm in search of an alternate source, winzip 7 and below don't work with me, and winrar just plain doesn't work. So, any help would be... Well... Helpfull.

There's a Windows version of 7zip. You don't need Linux for it.

It's a solid piece of open-source software. I use it on Windows.

I just installed it and there was this error thing that didn't allow me to open it. I'm using vista, incase that changes anything...

Which one did you download? Also, what was the exact Error Message?

I am running 7-Zip on Vista, and I haven't run into any problems.

I forget but it was something like "Could not execute command" or some crap like that, it had to do with it not being able to open. It's total BS.

Why don't you like WinRAR? Its free (to use continuously, even thought it expires lol), its easy to use Right Click>Extract/Add to Archive... it has better compression algorithams then WinZip, and its fast. It's like the perfect program for Rar/Zip/all other archives
