I don't really know what you're talking about. Could you give an example, or a screenshot?

when programs open they have a tab on the taskber at the bottom of the screen. i want to know if you can get rid of that tab with the program still running so someone in my family doesnt accidentally close something that i have running, mainly when i need to render an animation in blender, which takes a really long time. i was thinking it could be done through the task manager.

Oh, I see what you mean.

Try TrayIt, which minimizes a program to the system tray when you use it. I think it should be what you're looking for.
