ok for the new dell i am getting the standard card is the ATI X300SE....i beleive it is like a budget PCI card but i am not sure. will it be ok for gaming? if not the next one up is the X800 PCI (also 128 MB) but i really dont have the cash...opinions please :)

you got PCI express or is it PCI? if it is PCI- E go for an x700:D. If you have an agp slot get a 9800pro

well it is PCIe and dell only offers the x800 PCIe and that is pushing my budget so will the x300 do?

you could always ge the cheapest one they offer then buy a seperate card and stick it in... fuck dell......

A 9800 still cost around 200, but I bought the X800SE, and its really good. X300 is supposed to be a bit worse than it, but it will still probably beat a 9800SE. If you have 500 to spare, you should just buy the X800 XT.

Learn to build your own computer. Dell, HP, Compaq, and gateway suck as far as building prepackagers.
