Hey all, well....QUESTION! We recently recieved the latest DBL catalog at work...in it were VGA cables for an XBOX 360, does anyone know if you can get these for a regular XBOX? It would be cheeper solution then the 110 to pay for the Composite to vga box thingy....which I am sketchy about that, will that work right without a delay? Or will there be a delay....

Don't quote me on it, but I doubt it. Before the HDTV compatible 360 there was no real need.

A warning though, the VGA boxes I've tried are utter shit.

I do know you said don't quote you, but what do you mean "utter shit"... please go into detail, delay? poor quality? or what....

Poor quality. Remember that a PC monitor displays resolutions far higher than a TV (and a non-HD games console) is capable of. So to make the image produced by the console fit the screen (like it would on a TV), it has to be stretched. Which means a massive loss of detail.

Well ya, I am completely aware of that the resolutions are higher, and that the refresh rate on tv's are extremely low, thus covering up their poor quality... But honestly, is it that bad? My friend wants it for his 17" viewsonic so he can play on that instead of his ~17" tv that makes a high pitched sound....so annoying...and also it will open up more space in his room, get that crappy tv out of there....

The two I've had are, yeah. Truly awful. It would probably be better to have it as in input via your graphics card or a TV card.

I heard TV Tuners create delays...and besides that....what is bad about the quality? resolutions? is there blocking?

Uhm, imagine the picture that a console produces and then blow it up to 3+ times the size to fit a PC monitor...

yes, I know what you are saying...what is the resolution? 640x480? does it appear to match that, or what? Is it the same as playing a game in 640x480 or....

Yeah it's like playing a game at low res (with extra blurriness added in for good measure) - I believe NTSC TV is around 525x480.
