Ever since I installed Zone Alarm, I cannot view the animations for .gif images. They all just appear as a single still image. How can I reenable my ability to see GIFs?

Yeah, same thing happened to me with ZoneAlarm Pro. IIRC you have to disable GIF protection or something in advanced options.

Hardware firewalls ftw.

There is a way in the configuration. My suggestion for you, is close down ZA and an only update the virus and spyware daily. Run it whenever you have a suspension there is Spyware and / or virus's. After that, there is no point to it. Just don't watch porn

Uh, mate if he's already got a problem on the computer then ZA won't be able to help. It's a firewall - a form of prevention, not a cure to fix something that's already happened.

Looks like is has been ever since he installed it. So if he was to not run it or fully install it, it would take care of it. Not running it will turn the firewall off. ZOMG; a fix┬┐? :p

So what about those spyware and viruses you mentioned as an example of when to turn the firewall on, despite it being too late in that case? ZOMG; screwed, bug infested system┬┐? :p

Good tip there.
