how about you do a limit on the classes cuz u doant want loads of lutenants runnin round now do ya. and if i were you get rid of the sten cuz the sten was a silenced smg that british cammandos used and the venom cuz there was no sutch thing and make an m1 carbain and replace them with it and can u put the belt on the m1 and the thomson for more realism and are u doin buldge that was on part 6 & 7 if so then the allies must have them big coats on. and being able 2 look thrugh the iron sight of your gun would be sweet

Those are good ideas, but we wont be doing them in the first release. We're just to the point where we have something worth releasing, and we want to see if it catches on with the RtCW community. If the mod is a hit, and all the teammembers agree to continue it, then maybe some of these ideas will be put to use.

BTW, we have removed the Venom. And we should do a class limit bit. Sub, can you do that as a server command, where the host can choose the limits?

Personally, I hate class limits. The main reason being that if the limit is hit, you don't know until you've respawned as a basic soldier.

Adding the heavy coats to the Allies would involve some fancy modelling that is, I believe, beyond anyone currently on the team.

Adding the slings to the guns (I assume that's what you meant by "belts") is possible, but it would significantly add to the weapon's complexity, slowing down the graphics update rate (FPS).

I agree about the Sten - The US paras would have used Thompsons unless there was no other choice.

Iron sights is hard to do well, the models need to be reworked so it's possible ( the Thompson has no rear sight for a start). The previous attempts by moving the model weren't any good, and I don't like the idea anyway.

I see what you mean about class limits, but that's why they'd be best as server commands. That way, if you wanted no limits, you could make it so. Also, I agree about the Sten, but we need to keep it for now. It makes it so Lieutenants can have a standard SMG (Thompson or MP40) or a Specialty weapon (Sten and FG42).

Yes I can add class limits as a server cvar... What I did in BeefMod was when a player selects a class allready at peak capacity, it informs them and brings up the limbo menu again to make the correct changes.. It actually works quite nice if you need class caps.. Sub

Perhaps on the server's we've been offered, we will disable limits. It will all depend on how the mod runs after the equipment is shifted around. It will be awkward at first, and one or two classes may dominate. So throwing in the limit option can hurt.

All the sounds for the Mod will be pulled from the DVD including the weapons.
