What are you using to compile with and what are your compile options.

ok, first fix the nod without volume. That could be causing the safe malloc error. A Leafnode that has portals but no space inside. This is normally caused by CSG subtraction Which should never be used for mapping. I have posted several times about before. It could also be caused by moving verts wrong. So, its a bad brush or even a invisible brush that can't be seen in the editor. Step 1: put a brush around your level, the whole level.

Step 2: select all inside. (button by the CSG button) you level should turn red at this point.

step 3: now with your level selected, go to plugins/bob toolz/brush clean up and click it.

step 4: your level should flash or go back to not being selected. There may be brushes highlighted. These are bad brushes that need deleted, so hit the backspace key if there are any highlighted brushes. If there are any CSG (Constructive Solid Geometry) subtracted walls or fractured walls Hide everthing around them, put a brush over them as mentioned above and select all inside then hit the backspace key. CSG walls slow down FPS and bsp optimization. now try to compile your level.

If you still get a safe malloc error. (memory location runtime error) then you probley have some other background program interfering with the compile or your system is not up to the task. I have seen this error on some monster machines so not having enough computer is not usally the problem. a) restart your computer b) alt+ctrl+delete brings up the programs running in the background. shut down everything except systray and explorer. then try to compile again. If this still does not work then post again with your system settings and what compiler your using i.e GTKRadiant, wolfcompile, q3mapbuild2, ect......
