I can't tell from your post exactly what your problem might be, but try to give us a bit more specific info on what steps you have taken.

Let's start with this: When you create things in GTK, it is YOU that is creating, (what will be), a .map file. When you "save" your work periodically, the program saves over your previous ".map" file and also make the backup file (.bak). Now to get a ".bsp" file, (from your map file), you have to "compile" your map. I can't tell if you have done this or not, so here's what you have to do. Under the BSP menu at the top of the screen, you need to select a "compiling option". Just to see if everything is working OK, select "-bsp, -vis -fast". This option will not make use of the "lights" you may or may not have placed in your map, but it will tell us:

1. If your map has any major problems. (Watch for any error messages) and

2. If GTK is making a .bsp file for you. (After compiling, you should now have a mapname.bsp file in your "maps" subdirectory. The same directory where your .map file is).

Now if you have done this, It would have been better to tell us this information to start. If you needed this information, then I hope it worked for you.

However, if it still is not working, I can't tell why, but it should work, and maybe someone else can help out. At least now we know you have taken the usual steps.

Take careful note of ANY error messages if you get any, and let us know.
