Dursk;4509997It was a kids movie. And..it was directed by Geogre Lucas of course it was a massive disappoinment. His...predilection for children in war becomes glaringly obvious in this film. his tendancy to approve horrible writing and whole movies devoid of suspense. To me...Lucas has become Michael Jackson....once great now out of touch.
Hmm... Lucas may have been out of touch this whole time. If you're like me, The Empire Strikes Back was the best Star Wars movie, and it's the only movie George didn't direct... does that say something?
Yes, Empire Strike's Back really was the best Star Wars movie...perhaps the best movie ever.

After A New Hope became a success, George retired from directing and did not return to it until The Phantom Menace (I learnt this from my reading of Skywalking - It is George Lucas's' biography, I reccomend it to any fans of Lucas). George was a great director and writer (The OT and American Graffiti are good examples of this), but by stepping down from directing he lost his edge quicker than he would had he have stayed with it.
The Clone Wars really comes across as a Saturday morning made-for-TV movie. It is not a proper film, just an introduction to the TV series. Despite the horrible voice-over, the annoying voice acting and the made-for-children plot; the whole thing comes across as rather fun. For me, The Clone Wars - like The Phantom Menace - is alright.
I'll rent it or find it on the internet somewhere, then. :)
The only scene worth watching, apparently, is the battle on the Cliffs of Teth.
Anyway, the movie was directed at children who are too young to remember Jar Jar Binks, which is rediculous because the movie's too violent for them anyway. Plus having an 11-year-old that runs around in a tube top isn't exactly a good heroine for younger audiences (or older audiences, for that matter).
Zahn FTW!! (who am I kidding though, if they made a movie of something Zahn wrote, they'd ruin it, although maybe something based off the Dark Empire wouldn't be too bad...)

The thing is that doing CGI of the EU would be pretty cool. I mean they already have graphic novels for the Heir to the Empire Trilogy... CGI isn't too had to imagine them doing ^_^
I love George Lucas.
i hate how all these little brats think they are star wars pros after seeing that movie, when they dont know a thing about star wars... i dont even want to see the movie to be honest :uhm:
